Don’t need to ride many Central Victorian trails before you come across super tight corners, switchbacks or u turns, sometimes lots of them, strung together one after another. Whatever you call them, whether climbing or descending they can be tricky little suckers to negotiate. All of the sudden the wheelbase of your MTB starts to feel like a semi trailer. (more…)
Had a sweet late afternoon/early evening ride out Baco — so many trails, the more you ride the more you find, great fun piecing it all together. My painful relationship with the Fizik Gobi saddle has thankfully ended. It managed to cause a fair amount of damage in the undercarriage region, a first for me with any saddle. Ultrasounds and strangers fondling my junk trying to work out what the problem is… not my idea of joy! (more…)
The 1×10 Drivetrain has been chugging along nicely, lots of places where the 36 (on the 11-36) comes in handy, definitely a worthwhile upgrade to the 1×9. The shifting performance is also much improved thanks to XT Dyna-sys, sweet! (more…)
