Have been taking a beating this last week with the flu that is going around, a few more days to go I reckon before it’s out of the system. Lots of flu around this Winter, I’m really looking forward to Spring. Quite a bit of rain and cold the last week so in some ways not a bad time to be sick I guess but now that the weather has fined up I’m itching to get back out on the bike. (more…)

My old Look MTB shoes are like a second skin for my feet. I’ve had them since the early 1990’s and have loved them to death. They’ve always been super comfy on my weird feet and are pretty well scuffed and beat up after many years of riding, but the bummer is they’ve been falling apart for a while now. The thought of replacing them isn’t much fun but yeah… the time has come. (more…)

During the latter part of yesterday’s ride the rear wheel on the Mojo started to feel funky all of a sudden, sort of like it was deflating but not quite. Looking down at it spinning around it had a fair size buckle, wobbling side to side. Hmmph… turned around and cruised home. It turns out another spoke had failed at the nipple. That’s two spokes that have failed plus a couple of bent ones, time to get the wheel rebuilt. (more…)
