Have spent some quality time with the rake and shovel lately, unearthing old forgotten trails along with helping maintain trails that see a fair amount of regular use. It felt great to get out on the Mojo HD today and test some of it out. There’s one turn in particular I’m really happy with so far – it’s gone from being a boat anchor to a slingshot. A ‘bonus feature’ of mountain unicycling is how incredibly quiet unicycles are. Apart from the sound of the tread on ground they’re virtually silent out on the trail. MTB’s on the other hand, mainly thanks to the drivetrain and suspension, can make a crap load of noise. That’s part of the trade off I guess but it’s those random ‘new’ creaks that MTB’s make from time to time that can drive you to distraction. (more…)
