Lake Wendouree

I had some time to spare today while in Ballarat so took the 36’er along and put in a few circuits around Lake Wendouree.  The lake has been dry for a few years due to the drought in southern Australia. It’s a little eerie and bizarre, riding past all of the boat sheds that sit beside the once lake, now big dry hole that manages to catch on fire each summer. (more…)

Pimp My Ride

It all started off with a mismatched paint job on my new KH36 unicycle last October. No big deal but UDCA kindly offered to have the frame powder coated. I couldn’t decide on a color and didn’t want the 36er to be out of action for a couple of weeks. I also thought if I ever got around to doing anything about the paint job, removing it and going for a polished Alu look could be cool. (more…)

Autumn Cruising

After the wind and rain of the last few days there isn’t much Autumn color left on the trees. This weekend’s mission is to get out on the 36er and soak in the the last of Autumn as I’d guess within a few days there’ll be no color left. Wet Wombat Forest Loop

After a few days of wet and cold weather it was time to head back out into the Wombat Forest. The tracks were ultra slippery, many UPD’s and lots of laughs followed.  Sitting on the 36″ starts to feel high when it’s out of control, especially sliding out from under you on slippery tracks. (more…)
