Anyone who has spent time in Central Australia knows it is something truly extraordinary. Ancient, rugged, intense and insanely alive. Literally and figuratively it’s the heart of Australia. (more…)

You could almost feel the weight of the heavy grey clouds as a chunky weather front slowly moved across Central Victoria last night. It might have been still, warm & humid ahead of the change but for whatever reason it ended up being awesome conditions for a night ride. (more…)
What an adventure into the unknown the 2013 Mont 24 Hour turned out to be. While I’d heard of ‘the Mont 24’, not being into the competitive XC MTB scene I had no idea how huge it was. I’m looking forward to riding somewhere completely new to me and sampling some of Canberra’s fabled MTB trails, both in the day and night. If the 18km course map is anything to go by it looks like it’ll be fun weekend. I’ll be hanging out at Camp BikeBox, thanks fellas! (more…)
If you’re a mountain biker who loves night riding chances are you’re familiar with the quest for the ultimate trail light. You know the one. It’s the beautifully machined piece of kit that is super bright, small in size, lightweight, robust and burns all night long. Maybe the 2013 Exposure Reflex Mk1 is the high performance mountain bike light you’ve been looking for!
