The early 1990’s were a super fun time to be a mountain biker. The fat tired goldrush was well and truly underway with an explosion of new, cool and sometimes pretty crazy bikes, parts and accessories. A bunch of brands made it big in the early 1990’s including Syncros, based in Vancouver British Columbia. (more…)
In May 2013 I was super fortunate to be involved in the release of the Ibis Mojo HDR. The Mojo HDR Introduction video was shot over a couple of weeks in Melrose South Australia. Both the guys at Ibis and I were concerned about someone noticing the HDR and posting photos of the bike online before it was officially released. The solution was to place black tape over the ‘R”s on the top tube and rear triangle. Not super stealth by any means but thankfully it did the job 🙂

Out scoping trails in the bush this afternoon I came across three old school dirt farmers trucking along without a care in the world. Echidnas are usually insanely cautious around people and burrow at the slightest disturbance – it was an awesome treat to spend an hour or so roaming the hill with them! (more…)
