If there’s one thing that will derail the upcoming Cyclic Navigator event it will probably be the record heat that the lower half of Australia has been enduring this Spring. Bush fire risk could postpone the event which is fair enough, but it’s more if the event goes ahead in +30 degrees celcius that will bother me. (more…)

Felt pretty good today so decided to make use of the cooler weather and head over to Black Forest with the 24″ GUni. I’ve ridden the trails there on a 36’er, 29’er and single speed 24 so was interested to see how it would be on the 24 GUni. (more…)
Uni rides have been replaced with swimming the last week – partly due to the record breaking heat for this time of year, but also to help my leg heal. The swimming has worked magic, and with this year’s 6 hour Cyclic Navigator only a couple of weeks away I definitely need to squeeze in a few hours on the uni. (more…)
Lulu aka Uni Bitch and I headed down to the local reserve first thing this morning. I woke up with some new and improved soreness from yesterday’s effort so a super light and easy ride was the plan including soaking in the Loddon river. (more…)
I guess there was more to the UPD at Flume Track the other day. I wasn’t able to use my leg to shift down to low gear after the UPD but riding seemed to be ok apart from some anguish on the left side. I have no idea what happened or what hit what, just one of those UPD’s where your first thought is ‘Oh right… I crashed!’ (more…)
To help minimize the late afternoon jet lag like feeling due to getting up for work at 3.40am I squeezed in a mid afternoon MUni ride along Flume Track before doing the school run. I’d often passed the entry sign but never ridden it and had hoped the trail would be an easy ride suitable for the local uni kids as it’s only a few minutes from their school. (more…)
