It’s been a few weeks since I’ve been in the groove, I think mainly due to a crash I had back in mid January where I smacked the left side of my head and left shoulder heavily into a tree. My neck has felt like a messed up pile of square ball bearings ever since and my head progressively duller, foggier, achier, slower. Heart says ride but the only thing high on the body’s To Do list is lying down with eyes closed.

After a trip to the body panel beaters, some wonder lollies and horse rub things are on the up. Some relief today so I headed out on the Mojo. Dang I really enjoyed being back in the groove vs a lame passenger, missed it.

The experience reminded me though of what it was like to not be able to ride for years due to injuries. Not much fun. I guess too as you get older you’re often reminded there are last times you do things, things you love, things you don’t like doing much at all, and that generally you don’t know in advance that you’re doing them for the last time. It’s a pickle, no doubt about it (The Oracle, Matrix)

Celebrate the ride — you  never know when it will be the last one 😛
