It’s been a fun and wild ride but it’s time to say goodbye old buddy! to my KH Schlumpf 24″ Geared Unicycle (GUni). It’s headed off to Canada, to a placed called Saskatchewan. With a name that cool I’d love to go there myself, heck I would love to go to anywhere in Canada. (more…)
The Clock2Clock Challenge was held at Woodend last weekend. Prior to the event there were regular rides of the course creating some buzz online about… The Chute. Julien and I headed to Woodend the other day, the general idea being to eat some of Bourkies Vanilla Slice, ride some or all of the Clock2Clock course, and experience The Chute for ourselves. (more…)
My sense of smell is pretty crappy which is saying something considering how big my nose is, but out on yesterday’s ride even I could detect a not so subtle stench… a familiar stench of something worn over and over, saturated in sweat over and over, without many… err any washes and rarely having dried out properly. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve been in the groove, I think mainly due to a crash I had back in mid January where I smacked the left side of my head and left shoulder heavily into a tree. My neck has felt like a messed up pile of square ball bearings ever since and my head progressively duller, foggier, achier, slower. Heart says ride but the only thing high on the body’s To Do list is lying down with eyes closed. (more…)
