Heading north out of Brisbane after riding Gap Creek took me right past Bunyaville State Forest, home to another network of MTB trails that I’d checked out earlier online. I couldn’t resist the temptation!

After trail hopping my way up from Central Victoria (including rides at Glenrock, Nambucca Heads and Mt Joyce) it felt pretty cool to arrive in Brisbane and get to check out the local MTB trails at Daisy Hill with my younger brother Chris.

I’d thoroughly enjoyed riding the lush coastal trails at Glenrock and Nambucca Heads in New South Wales but the thought of sampling Mt Joyce’s purpose built AM style trails in Queensland had my foot on the gas hoping to arrive at the park in time for at least two runs before the end of the day.
