Mount Franklin

Mt Franklin MUni

Pretty cool ride today – mountain unicycling in the crater of an extinct volcano, and it’s only a 10 minute drive from home. True story!

Lushington Hill

I had a quick exploratory ride this afternoon at Lushington Hill, a small bush reserve that is slowly recovering from being completely pillaged during the 1800’s gold rush.

Albert Park Formula 1… GUni

I’ve never made it down to watch the Australian F1 Grand Prix at Albert Park in Melbourne, but for whatever reason I’ve always thought it would be fun to uni around an F1 circuit. As luck would have it this week I had a couple of appointments in Melbourne the day Albert Park re-opened to […]

The Pineys, Moonlight Flat

I headed up to Castlemaine today with the 24 GUni to explore an area known to locals as ‘The Pineys’ – a large pine plantation that also happens to contain over 25km of MTB single track.

Google Street Uni View

Was out riding after work, messing around on the 20″ uni at Trentham Falls and Shazaam, the Google Street View car cruised by – unlikely and cool!

Crater to Coast Rail Trail

I had a few hours to spare on a day trip to South Western Victoria so took the 24″ GUni along to ride the Crater to Coast Rail Trail, which runs 29km from Camperdown to Timboon (though the plan is to extend it all the way to Port Campbell).

Tipperary Springs

Had a short but exciting ride today looping between Twin Bridges and Tipperary Springs. Lots of great single track, ultra narrow in places, sometimes with sheer rock wall on the hillside, sometimes with a big drop on the other, sometimes both! The single track also drops in and out of an old water race from […]

Breakneck Gorge

Had a fun MUni today at Breakneck Gorge near Hepburn Springs, on a section of trail that links the natural mineral springs in the area. The gorge is a great place for MUni – super narrow trails cut into surrounding hillside, lots of steep up and down, rocky, and big drops beside the trail into […]
