We’ve hiked the Three Capes Track, now to explore Tasman Peninsula by water!
Living in Hobart it’s hard to miss the bright yellow Pennicott cruise boats down on the waterfront. The company runs a variety of day trips, including Bruny Island and the Tasman Peninsula.
Having hiked Tassie’s iconic Three Capes Track earlier this year I’ve been looking forward to returning to the peninsula and seeing it from a different perspective. Why not give the yellow boats a go!
In the midst of a Wintery polar blast we somehow scored a stunning bluebird Spring day for our cruise. As you can see from the pics above and below the weather turned it on. We were also lucky enough to score swells of only 1-3 metres.
We had a great few hours cruising from Eaglehawk Neck to Tasman Island and back. Waterfalls, caves, seals, dolphins, birds… oh yeah and the highest sea cliffs in the Southern Hemisphere. All topped off by excellent commentary by the friendly crew, and Tim Tams to snack on 🙂
The Tasman Peninsula is SPECTACULAR!
