Could this be the last snow of the year? Being Hobart, most likely not! Either way, the window of early morning following an overnight snow storm was too good to resist.
Unlike earlier Winter storms the snow only began to settle at ~1000m, but it was immediately super dry and crunchy. And how about that wind? The summit is usually blowing a gale, but this morning there was barely a breath of wind. Still. Serene. Such a rare treat Fragile ice formations coated every branch and rock.
Before I knew it, hours had passed and the rumble of the snow clearing machine signaled my time alone on the mountain was up.
See you again kunanyi!
