You’ve gotta love your trail building tools! Rakey’s been one of my best buds, helping shape over 4000 meters of the Alpine Epic descent. I was hoping he’d hang in there to the end, but the strain slowly took its toll, tearing the metal, causing Rakey to lose his head.
If you happen to look back at just the right time while descending the Alpine Epic trail you’ll catch a glimpse of Rakey, entombed in a giant old burn out eucalypt.
