Woohoo! first sunny day we’ve had for some time.  The trails around Castlemaine drain off and dry out fairly quickly, not much top soil left from all the gold mining, mainly rocks. Even so I thought it would be best to stay out of the gully areas which are still draining the water away and stick to higher ground, riding the trails on a hill on the outskirts of town known as The Monk. A few small puddles but overall the trails were dry and in good shape.

The Mojo HD is running great, it’s a sweet ride. I’m going to mess with the front/rear shock settings. ATM using all the shock on the rear, 1/2-2/3 on the front. Maybe the rear is a little too soft too.  Loving the simplicity of the 1x drivetrain – still running 1×9, haven’t fitted the 1×10 components yet. I reckon the 33  / 11-36 10 speed combo should work pretty well around here. The only major gadget I’d love to add to the Mojo is a Rockshox Reverb seat post.

Time to give the Mojo a clean, ready for another ride tomorrow if the weather holds.
