It ‘s not hard to sometimes get disorientated when riding in new areas — especially on trails that continually loop back and forth, round and round, through bush gullies that all start to look the same after a while.
With the single track still wet from recent floods the last couple of days has been a good opportunity to ride the fire tracks in the bush around Castlemaine, mapping their location and names along the way. Doing so definitely helps get your bearings, and might come in handy especially when trying to describe to someone on the mobile phone where you’ve crashed!
Riding fire trails is a fun change of pace too. Probably not the Mojo’s native environment but relaxing all the same and handy terrain to work on fitness.
