Had a magic day on the Bogong High Plains, scoping out trail conditions over the Fainters for the Ignition MTB season opener at Falls Creek Nov 19-20.

The Fainters is a classic back country ride from Falls Creek to Mt Beauty (via Mt Fainter North and South). The many folk booked in to ride it at Ignition better bring their A game because in its post Winter state the Fainters is ready to claim its share of tires, rear derailleurs, spokes, flesh and more.

What a kickass MTB adventure the Fainters trail is. On a picture perfect Spring day I kinda got sidetracked goofing around on the massive snow drifts along the way. And this is another thing I’m loving about running 2.8 tires – Backcountry adventure, no worries! Shred down slushy snow drifts along the way, you bet!

Oh yeah and there’s the views too 🙂
