The most important part of doing bread runs in the wee hours of the morning would have to be the double shot of espresso, injected directly into my eyeballs at the start of the shift, usually followed up by another double shot after work — then I’m set for the rest of the day.

I get out on the Mojo HD at least a few times a week after the bread run but only usually do one ride a day, stuffing all the fun coupons I can find into the ride with not much left over. The coffee must’ve been good today though as the double shot was in play and after an enjoyable morning ride with Peter from the Bike Vault up around The Monk I headed out by myself the afternoon to do the Best of Baco, a loop connecting up some of my favorite sections of trail in the bush north west of Castlemaine.

Got some wild weather during the afternoon too, with the storms forecast for the next few days blowing across and just starting to dump rain as I arrived home. Great to get some rain again, things were starting to get dusty!
