Driving out through the early morning Autumn fog to Maydena you just know there’s a good chance the top of the mountain will be sitting above the fog and cloud – it’s the season for inversions! The summit of a Maydena offers stupendous 360 views on a clear day, add a layer of cloud in the valleys in all directions and it’s something else again.

And that’s how it played out the other day, made even sweeter when the inversion stayed around until the middle of the day, followed by awesome riding conditions late into the afternoon.
