With the unusually hot summer here in Victoria I’ve been riding more in the evenings and nights, which has meant upgrading my lights to something a little more suitable for uni and safer to ride by.

I came across Ay Up!, great lights made in Australia, primarily for MTB. I have to say I am seriously impressed – these lights are bright, very light, robust, flexible mounting options, simple, long run times, great value and Australian. Not to mention great service. I opted for mounting the intermediate width beam on my helmet – given the slower speed of uni relative to MTB I thought that would be a good place to start.
