We sold our beloved 1977 Kombi which I had to drop off at Sailors Falls. I took the 29″ with me and rode back to Glenlyon, ~31km through the Wombat Forest. It was my first long ride off road on the 29 with 125 cranks, and overall was great fun!
The extra speed of the 125’s definitely helped boost my average speed, though I also managed to discover some exceptionally steep single track which made me think brakes might be worth considering if I’m to keep using the 125’s.

I’ve never ridden in the forest between Sailors Falls and Bullarto – it was something of a discovery, lots of great riding in there!
