Smokey skies lately with fuel reduction burns underway across Central Victoria, including the bush on the outskirts of Castlemaine. I headed over on the Mojo to check it out as it’s an area I ride through often.

I’m not sure what the burn plan is but so far it looks like the damp conditions and relatively low fuel load are making things tricky, with only a smattering of burnt patches here and there. If this is it I’m relieved.

I also did a couple of runs down the Gully, the trail elves have been at work and left some new goodies behind… sweet!
