I spotted this female Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo in the bush yesterday, quietly chuckling as she stripped branches looking for larvae to feed on.
The Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo is my favorite Australian bird. It was a treat to be able to sit quietly close by and watch her at work.
Even after 30 years of continually crossing paths with the Yellow Tailed Black Cocky, every time I hear their distinctive call or see them slowly beating across the sky… I feel immediately drawn to them!
