Wombat Trail: Quest for the Vanilla Slice
Headed down early in the morning from Castlemaine with Julien to ride the Wombat Trail at Woodend before the forecast 35-40 degree heat kicked in.

Historic day! After clearing the MTB track at Bress of signage, bunting etc I stopped at the Harcourt BP service station for a munchie reward and had one of the best steak sandwiches EVER.
Wombat Off Peak
The Wombat MTB Trail on the outskirts of Woodend gets pretty busy during the weekends. I’ve been wanting to get back there since the last Vanilla Slice Quest so thought it would be best to go Wombat Off Peak and headed over late afternoon. During the week you pretty much have the place to yourself.

After a few days of sunny weather the MTB Singletrack at Woodend was primed to be in great condition for Monthly MUni 04! The weather gods have certainly smiled on us over the last few MUni rides.
